First Fundraising Campaign
Our first fundraising campaign was a huge success!!! It was a peer-to-peer campaign in which friends and family created their own teams and it ran from June 19 through July 19. Together we raised a little over $2700!!! Our fundraising goal for Quarter 1, which ends on September 30, is $5000...we are more than halfway there. If you would like to contribute, you can donate through our GoFundMe page, https://www.gofundme.com/f/4zwywf-new-yearnew-teamnew-dream , and/or email

New Partnership
I am so happy to say that Linda, from Lin Alan Studio, is not only supporting us by wearing our masks, but she is also selling them at her studio. Additionally, she is offering her services for our caregivers. Like our in-home massages, we can now also offer in-home haircuts/trims. Thank you for your support in making Erik's Way a great program for families impacted by cancer in the South Bay.

Sarcoma Awareness Month
Happy July 1st! Today marks the start of Sarcoma Awareness Month. Please wear yellow this month as a show of hope and support for those who have been affected by sarcoma. Remember, Erik's Way has been created to support the cancer community, but it was because Erik himself battled undifferentiated sarcoma for two years.

The Face Masks Came
Working with One Stone Apparel, a local company here in Gardena, we created our very own face masks. Not only is this necessary because of the current health pandemic, but when visiting homes of those who are sick we should be protecting them by wearing a face mask. Our masks are black with a heat press logo design. Asking only $10 for each mask!!! Thank you for your continued support of Erik's Way.

Hello and happy Monday! I wanted to share that our Facebook Page has been created. Please share the link with your friends and family and "like" us as a way to keep up to date with all that is happening with the program. Erik's Way Kickoff
Yesterday started the official kickoff for Erik's Way. We are doing a one-month kickoff campaign to raise money, have volunteers sign-up, and for families to reach out if they would like to receive support from our program. The forms for volunteers and families are on our site. Additionally, Erik's Way received THREE more children's books donations. Thank you to all who are continuing to support and be a part of our organization.

Our First Book Donation
Today, Thursday June 18, Erik's Way received its first book donation from the Amazon Wish List - Rosie Revere, Engineer. Thank you to the donor (if you would like to let me know who you are, I would love to tell you thank you personally) who is supporting literacy and providing children in the program with a great new read! I can't wait to pass it along through our Books and Baked Goods Program.

The Beginning of Erik's Way
Towards the end of Erik's journey, I bought him journals that he could write in. One for Madison that had picture prompts, one for Luke that had journal prompts, and one for me that was filled with blank pages. Erik wasn't much of a writer, or a talker for that matter, but I wanted him to write to us if he felt like it. I hadn't been ready to read what he wrote to me, but on the anniversary of his death-March 29-I decided to. It made me cry, made me love him even more...b
